Grant seeks to retain Manistee talent

Launch Manistee has received a $20,000 Grant from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development. The grant application was developed by the Manistee County Community Foundation and Alliance for Economic Success (AES).  “The absence of candidates to fill job openings has become a crisis for many businesses in Manistee and other northern Michigan Counties,” said Eric Gustad,  Vice-Chair of the Board of AES. Gustad said that many businesses are operating short-staffed, with reports of temporary business closings due to lack of employees.
