The West Shore Community College Board of trustees met yesterday. They welcome new employees of Jessica Houser as Associate Professor of Psychology, Duane Kelley as Associate Professor of Nursing and Katie Stewart as Associate Professor of Marketing and Management. WSCC’s Early Childhood Education program has been awarded accreditation by the national Association for the Education of Young children or NAEYC. This makes WSCC one of seven programs in the state with a NAEYC accreditation.
Recreations Director Mike Moore updated the trustees on the Ice Arena reporting an overall increase in participation in Hockey, Ice skating and other ice arena activities. Trustee Bruce Smith said that the board hadn’t yet received any applicants, internally or externally, for the position of president. The Board “approved” the sending of the presidential profile to all College employees for the purpose of soliciting internal candidates.
