Students across Mason County participated in walkouts this morning. Ludington Area High school chose not to make details prior to the walk out public in order to ensure student safety. 130 LHS students participated.
The walk out was scheduled to last 17 minutes, beginning at 10am with a minute of silence for each life lost in the Parkland School shooting. Mason County Central Students heard an account from Blu Moon Bistro owner Marilyn Carey on the impact of gun violence. About 125 Mason County students attended. Both schools kept the walk outs indoors.
