Locally Made Golf Shot This Weekend Worth $10,000

A hole in one is a very rare event at a golf course.  It’s even more so rare at an amateur golf scramble.  That’s just exactly what happened yesterday at the Manistee National Golf Club.

Jeff Urka of Ludington sank a hole in one on the #9 hole at 164 yards. The hole sponsorship was made by Parkdale Auto in Manistee.  Urka was golfing with Dean Schultz, Jake Bielski (beel ski) and Steve Castonia.

The occasion was the Paul Butterfield golf scramble in memory of the fallen state trooper.  The one shot was worth $10,000!  Half of the money will go to Jeff Urka and the other half goes to the memorial scholarship fund.
